Building on the momentum of the first Bolder Board Training in 2018, Charities Institute Ireland is bringing Dan back for a second, updated Bolder Board on the 12th November in the Round Room at the Mansion House in Dublin.

Most of last year’s attendees say they wish their entire board had been there, so we want those new people to get what everyone got last year. At the same time, we want those who were there last year to get even more. So last year’s training material will be revised and updated with innovative Irish case studies in the morning session.

Then the afternoon will be devoted to a workshop and group discussion that will help you and your board and staff members launch new, exciting conversations for impact based on new, emancipated thinking, instead of old ideas and constraints.

The entire day will allow you and your board to create a new context for your aspirations moving forward. It’s not a day to complete your strategic planning. It’s more powerful than that. It’s a day that will fundamentally alter, elevate, liberate and expand your options for strategic planning forever.  It will change the way you think about changing the world around you.

The programme’s content includes:

  • New thinking about charity, non-profit business practice, giving and making a difference, and the five conventions that obstruct organisations from reaching their potential

  • New ways of looking at innovation, including the four keys to successful innovation

  • How to create a future that is not based on the past

  • How to increase the energy and enthusiasm of a team and board, and how to transform – and keep transformed – the board

I wasn’t sure what to expect even the title alone “Bolder” training was daunting. I thoroughly enjoyed the day, it was challenging but I came away with a new perspective on what can be achieved and how to change our boards way of operating and thinking. I can not recommend this course highly enough. When are you coming back Dan? Sign me up.
— Patricia Lawler, Board Member, LauraLynn Ireland's Children's Hospice
